Athens Aikido

Athens Aikido was founded in 2008 and has been based in Holargos since 2010. It is open for training daily throughout the year.  Following the art of T.K. Chiba Shihan, a direct student of the founder of Aikido, Athens Aikido offers studies in Aikido, Weapons, Iai-Batto ho Sword art, Misogi and Zazen meditation.

The training at Athens Aikido is dynamic and rigorous, and students are encouraged to study all aspects of martial arts in order to reach their full potential as practitioners.

Additional intensive seminars are held throughout the year with teachers from around the world and students traveling and sharing their experiences in different dojos and environments, enhancing in-depth understanding of the art. Many international Aikido students of all ages come to Athens to experience life as uchideshi (live in student) or as sotodeshi (full-time practice residing outside the dojo).
Athens Aikido is a member of Hellenic Birankai and Birankai International, a fully recognized organization by the Hombu Dojo Aikikai Foundation in Japan.
